A few years ago, I was broke, burned out, laid off, and divorced. While my friends were paying down their mortgages and investing in their kid's education accounts, I was scrambling from bill collectors. It was not a pretty picture. I share this with you to encourage you not to give up your dreams. No matter what your situation is in this life, believe that you can succeed beyond your wildest dreams . . .Although I was very successful in my job, it was taking me further and further away from my family and my life. I was traveling120 days a year when I suddenly began to wonder who was making the choices in my life and who was I really working for? My marriage began to crumble and unfortunately ended in divorce and a financial disaster a few years later.
After being laid off, I started my own small business consulting and coaching practice. It was September 2, 2001, and although my timing was less than perfect, I loved working at my own pace, helping my clients, and finding some balance between my practice and living a life. My life style improved but my income did not pay the bills.
I liked being my own boss and investigated franchise and MLM companies. I joined one of the best known MLM health products companies in the world. But my time was devoured by meetings, trainings, and product demonstrations on week nights and weekends. They wanted tens of thousands of dollars invested in inventories and a compensation plan that included an up line, a down line, a side line, and every line you can imagine except a bottom line that would pay for my time and money. In short, I was just buying myself a new job, working harder, with very little up-front profit.
In 2006, my life started to turn around. I discovered the most incredible business opportunity thanks to a friend. It comes with a personal advisor whom is mentoring me how to make $35,000 a month. The net result is that I am having fun helping clients become financially successful while I am close to achieving my goals of working four days a week from my home office and steadily gaining on my financial freedom. I married a wonderful woman a year ago. We live at the beach surrounded by nature. And we travel together for fun and relaxation. We now have the time and money to share our new life style with our family and friends. It is a dream come true!
